First Attempt...

The weather is finally normal again and the water is warming up as well, so last weekend me & Dobbs made our first attempt of the year to actually try to catch some fish. Word on the street is the flats have been going off so we loaded up the kayaks and headed for a spot south of the skyway. We spent all morning trying and searching for some action but all we we're able to find we're little punk ass pin fish harassing our bait. After a few hours of it we decided to try our luck in some open water and just see what happens... next thing you know we're fishing (for ladyfish) but it was fun, after a morning of absolutely nothing an afternoon full of big ol' lady fish actually made for a great time. They we're pulling us all over the place and putting up a surprisingly good fight. So the moral of the story is Florida is getting back to normal and the ocean is starting to see some life again so get outside and enjoy yourself.
