Keep it in the Streets

Tommie from the Finest Skateshop posted this bulletin on myspace today. It was right on point and I couldn't agree more...

What up!

In every big downtown its illegal to skateboard but u know what skateboarders still skate in there downtown. U know in Philly at Love Park cops dont give u tickets. They just take ur wheels off & thrown them around. U think that will stop them for skatboarding in downtown area or Love Park. No it doesnt stop them at all!!!!!!!!!!

So what Im saying is: Lets build our downtown skateboard scence. Lets take over our downtown, skate the spots that our downtown has, build spots downtown, & etc. Let me tell u its sad that we don't have a strong skateboard scence in the downtown area.

Its like the skateboard scence is all about skateboarding little bs rec. center parks.

Lets take it bak to the streets & build a solid skate scence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Cypress

Me and Claire made a quick trip over to South Florida last weekend and on the way home made a stop at Big Cypress Indian Reservation. If your ever taking your time on alligator alley I suggest you make the stop and go check out the museum and nature trail. There are some cool things to see and some good education about the heritage of the Seminole Tribe.

50 Miles

So we took out the Blue Jungle last Saturday for Claires birthday. Everybody had a good time and we caught a wide variety of fish (we'll be eating good for a few days). Still a little foggy from the whole weekend so I won't get into details but here's some pics... more to follow.

Eric got 2nd

Eric got 2nd place at the best trick comp over the weekend with a Kickflip back nosegrind down the hubba. We should have some more pics up soon and maybe a video... check back.

This Saturday

Go to lake Vista Skatepark. We'll be there with some free u.b.c. gear for ya'll.

RIP Patrick

We lost a good man yesterday. Patrick was an amazing actor and we feel privileged to have been lucky enough to grow up with his movies, everybody here at u.b.c. will miss him.

AM JAM Recap

So our skim team rider Brent entered the local skim comp on Treasure Island last weekend. Brent didn't advance to the finals but if you ask me he should've I thought he had some nice lines and landed some good tricks, but what do I know. Anyway here's some of the pics we got from the event.
