Bill Recap

So anyone who doubted me actually gettin' pictures of bill was exactly correct. I'm not sure how but my camera battery went completely dead before I got to even use it, but reality was I only made one small attempt to use it around mid day, so I didn't get any pics but there all over the internet so....

But it was that good I got to the beach a little late (around 2pm) because I made a pit stop at the surf expo first only to find nobody there the place was dead, the only people there we're the ones looking for cheesy beach towels and the latest sun tan lotions. So I got out of there and headed to the beach quick... got there to find average 8 to occasional 10 foot swells clean long lines with a nice offshore breeze. Surfed all day till the sun went down all in all it was a really good day....
Execpt for the brief time when I lost my truck keys to the ocean and wasn't sure how I was gettin' home or even into my drunk I was gunna be the weird crusty shirtless dude in the wet trunks asking at the bar that night if I couldn't figure something out. I don't know how but with out giving out to many important details scott was able to unlock my door, that meant I had a towel and dry clothes and money and all that stuff. I also had my phone and as my luck would have it my buddy don was heading over to the other side of the state first thing the next morning, so claire brought him the spare key and he arrived in the morning with it so it all worked out in the end... it's almost like I never lost my key at all.

So the moral of this story is if your going in the ocean don't relly on that little string on the inside of your boardshorts to hold your key and if your wearing those fancy rvca boardshorts don't put anything in your pocket as a matter of fact don't wear those at all I guess there not meant to withstand real waves, I think there actually made for hipsters that want to pretend they surf. Thats how I lost my key the pocket on the shorts ripped wide open when I was surfing couseing the key to fall out. When U.B.C. finnally gets around to making boardshorts I guarentee they will be able to withstand huricane swells.

Sorry about no pics I grabbed this one of Ryan Clappers facebook page he's gettin some good pics lately. Also theres some good one on gulster.com too. I aslo got a couple from that night at Lou's Blue's Bar on my phone... check out the bass players guitar

HARBOR FEST Recap

Sorry it's taken so long to get a this post up it's I've finally gather ALL the pictures. So anyway I'll keep the recap short and let the pictures tell the story. All in all it was another crazy U.B.C. party lot's of beer, lots of loud music, lots of prizes, and lot's of oranges. All the bands threw down The Shmeltz we're absolutly amazing if you missed them then you really blew it, they put on one hell of a show. Ramble had broken up that day but it didn't stop Drew from still throwing a jam set together a huge thanx to every body that helped that happen. Crash FistFight did exactly what they do best and it's was awsome, and locolism played a rad set right up to the end of the night. Plus Todd the drummer for locolism won the big u.b.c. raffle. After the party ended a few of us made our way back to the Safety Harbor Motel for an almost after party with some sketchy dude that was staying next door to us at the motel. A huge thanks goes out to all the sponsor's Pabst Blue Ribbon, Gulster.com, The Finest Skateshop, and Westside Skateshop, and ofcourse thanx again to everybody that came out and supported the event can't do with out ya'll. Keep an eye out for the 4th Annual U.B.C. Christmas party. We're bringing back

Manny Mania

So we packed a cooler full of food, water, etc.. grabbed a bucnh of shirts & promo stuff packed a small overnight bag, charged both camera batteries, cleared the memory cards got everything ready to go. Woke up at 5:45am and like most of the time took my time getting up and getting ready to go, see my plan was to be all packed and on the road no later than 6:30 that way I could get the guys to Miami early and they could unwind practice a little and be ready for the event feeling good but of course it never happens that way. I think it was 7am on the dot when I said I gotta get outta here so assuming that I had everything packed I locked up the house and got on my way. We picked up Eric & Pat and we're on the highway and got on our way. Then I think it was somewhere around Punta Gorda when I realized I forgot the camera, to far to turn around and to broke to go buy one I used what I could but didn't get anything good. We did have a good time and Eric & Pat did really good in their heats, and the after party was fun and nothing bad happend all in all it was a good trip I just wish I had a camera... learned a very valuble lesson and never leaving without it again.

So hears the pics I got with my Iphone and I'll upload the others shortly.
